Wall Solutions Inititative in the News

“Walk in my Shoes: A Neighbourhood Tour” was held by the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility (UBC and Vancouver Coastal Health).  Supported by the Peter Wall Solutions Initiative, the project is looking at mobility issues and the experience of aging in the urban environment.   Seniors from the West End Seniors Centre and staff from the City of Vancouver Planning and Engineering departments, went on a 'walkabout' doing a sample 'street audit' to understand the issues older adults face getting about in their neighbourhood.

Wall Solutions Initiative in the News

Dr. Barb Pesut, UBC Okanagan, is leading a study funded by the Peter Wall Solutions Initiative to develop an integrated palliative care approach for patients in rural BC.  This study will be conducted in the Trail-Castlegar region but its findings will be valuable for other rural areas in BC.
