Leonard Foster
Assistant Professor, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Leonard is the Canada Research Chair in Organelle Proteomics, a Michael Smith Foundation scholar, and one of the founding members of the UBC Centre for Proteome Biology. Leonard is originally from British Columbia. He earned a BSc at Simon Fraser University, then a PhD in 2004 in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto for his work on the regulation of vesicle traffic by insulin. Leonard worked on protein mass spectrometry as an Assistant Research Professor in the Center for Experimental Bioinformatics at the University of Southern Denmark before arriving at UBC in January 2005.
