I would say without hesitation that the Wall Scholars program has been one of the most significant intellectually stimulating and productive parts of my career to date. Since 2014, The Wall Scholars Program has brought together diverse groups of scholars from UBC and around the world for year-long residences at the Peter Wall Institute to engage in deep, unconstrained research in an immersive, interdisciplinary environment. Wall Scholars come from a wide range of disciplines, including:
- Humanities & the Performing Arts
- Health & Medicine
- Law & Education
- Science & Engineering
This year the Wall Scholar Program expanded to include scholars from institutions in Canada and around the world. The 2021-22 cohort includes scholars from Toronto, South Africa and Spain.
