The PWIAS Catalyst Program supports inter- and trans-disciplinary collaborations that address the urgency, scale and complexity of the climate crisis, climate justice and biodiversity loss. By connecting scholars, students, artists, disciplines, sectors and communities we hope to expand the ways of knowing and acting in this challenging socio-ecological moment.
As part of the 2022 Wall Scholars Catalyst program, these 12 UBC scholars will come together to build connections, cultivate relationships and initiate collaborations that engage with the urgency, scale and complexity of the Climate and Nature Emergency.
In partnership with the UBC Emeritus College, the Institute has assembled a cohort of 10 UBC Emeriti to participate in the PWIAS Catalyst Program focusing on the Climate and Nature Emergency.
In partnership with the Public Scholars Initiative (Graduate and Post Doctoral Studies, UBC) and through the funding of an undergraduate fellowship (with UBC Climate Hub) the Wall Catalyst Fellows wil explore opportunities to “dig deeper and relate wider” to CNE.
12 catalyst artists, who are active in the arts sector in Canada and internationally, collaboratively reflect on how art can help us face the complexities of our current times.
