Kevin Ward

Kevin Ward is part of the 2022 PWIAS Campus Synergy Group.

Kevin is a member of the Mikisew Cree First Nation (Treaty 8). He has been at the First Nations House of Learning for the past nine years. Prior to UBC, he worked for First Nations and affiliated organizations across the province, specifically in the Lower Mainland, southern Vancouver Island, central and northwest regions, mainly doing corporate communications.

Kevin has dedicated his entire professional career to supporting First Nations with his communications skills and is happy to do so for the Indigenous community at UBC Vancouver. His interest in joining the staff cohort is to bring his particular lens to the University’s considered response to the climate emergency facing its employees, students and neighbours, including Musqueam.
