Peter Wall International Visiting Research Scholar Dr. Geoff Wong (University of Oxford) and Dr. Maura MacPhee (UBC Nursing) will discuss how realist research is perhaps, the most relevant method to use when planning, implementing and evaluating healthcare and social care programs in today’s complex world. This scientific approach helps us design and deliver better social and healthcare programs. Dr. Wong will provide examples drawn from his research funded by the National Institute of Health Research. Dr. MacPhee and Dr. Wong will share potential lessons learned (and policy and practice implications) from their current realist review of team-based processes in Canada’s primary healthcare context.
Following the presentation, there will be a mixer with a cash bar and appetizers.
