Pop-up Playground for Kids

- 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
- Location:
Old Barn Community Centre
6308 Thunderbird Blvd
Vancouver, BC
The International Research Roundtable “Levelling the Playing Fields: Developing strategies to promote outdoor play in schools and communities” is partnering with Spare Parks Adventure to host a pop-up playground for kids of all ages at Old Barn Community Centre on UBC campus on Friday, September 28th 2018, 3:30 – 6:00 PM.
Pop-up playground gives kids the opportunity to use “spare parts” such as fabric, PVC pipes, boxes, and tires to build their own playground – be it a fort, boat, or tire swing! We will be on hand to supervise and assist in cutting materials, but parents are strongly encouraged to step back and watch their children imagine and create on their own.
This is a free event, no registration required.
