SOLD OUT: Fall 2018 Wall Exchange with Rosalind Picard

Nov 05, 2018

Thanks to everyone who attended!

For those that missed it, we will be releasing a video recording of the event by November 21.

Emotional Intelligence in a Brave New Robotic World

Emotionally-intelligent computers are transforming the way we live and interact with each other. In this upcoming Wall Exchange lecture series, Rosalind Picard will describe how computers are now able to measure and respond to our emotions, and the implications of this new technology.

Rosalind Picard is credited with starting the branch of computer science known as affective computing, which seeks to create emotionally smart AI technologies in service of better human health and wellbeing.

This event will be moderated by Nora Young, host of the CBC’s Spark. In her show, Young guides Canadians through this dynamic era of technology-led change and connects listeners’ lives to the big ideas changing the world right now.
