South Asian Canadian Histories Association (SACHA) invites you to the launch of its milestone project in recognition of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, and to a special Canadian Heritage funding announcement. The project explores the intersections of where history, memory and migration meet.
Established in 2016, SACHA aspires to exhibit art, history and performances rooted in South Asian Canadian culture and experiences. From the margins and gaps in our nation’s history we provide a space for alternative—and disruptive—voices to be heard.
Learn about our series of exhibitions, theatrical performances, conversations, and texts in recognition of Canada’s 150th Anniversary—what has come before, and what our future(s) may be. The event is also held as a closing reception for the thematically related exhibition, “Mending Cracks” by Raghavendra Rao K.V., in the Asian Centre lobby.
