The webinar will commence with insights from the innovative climate governance strategies of Nedbank and other South African businesses that have adopted the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.  Businesses across Canada, South Africa and other countries, particularly family-owned smaller and medium enterprises, face many of the same challenges in assessing and addressing the risks and opportunities of climate change. The webinar will reflect on strategies to instill hope and to envision climate governance that recognizes a sharing of the benefits and burdens of the transition to net zero carbon.

The webinar will also include the launch of a South African Visual Art Exhibit and sale of limited prints of South African art students on a hopeful vision for a ‘green recovery’ of our economies. The webinar also include release of a new virtual choir song titledTime for Hope, with voices and pledges from around the world.
