Jo-ann Archibald receives Order of Canada for helping advance Indigenous education in schools

UBC professor emeritus Jo-ann Archibald | Q’um Q’um Xiiem was appointed as an officer to the Order of Canada for her leadership in advancing Indigenous educational programs in Canadian elementary and university curricula.
Jo-ann Archibald is a contributor to the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies book Memory. Her essay Indigenous Storytelling explores how storytelling plays a role in the way we create and recall memories.
