Moura Quayle Appointed Chair of Peter Wall Endowment Board of Trustees

The Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies (PWIAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Moura Quayle as Chair of the Peter Wall Endowment Board of Trustees.

Professor Quayle is Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Academic Affairs at UBC, a founding director of UBC’s School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, and former Director of the Liu Institute for Global Issues. Professor Quayle is known internationally for her senior leadership experience in higher education and government.

“Professor Quayle’s expertise in governance of academia, business, and civil society will be invaluable as we move forward with implementing rigorous governance structures and practices to allow the Peter Wall Institute to fulfill its potential and promise,” said Interim Director, Kalina Christoff, “I’m delighted to be working with Professor Quayle on making this Institute the best it can be.”

The PWIAS acknowledges the immense support and engagement by the Board’s outgoing Chair, UBC President Santa Ono, who held the position from 2017 until now.

“It has been an honour serving on the Peter Wall Institute Board of Trustees,” said President Ono. “My passion and support for the Institute will continue in my role as President of UBC.”
