The Ideas Lunch & Wine Bar

This year, the Institute was delighted to open the Ideas Lunch and Wine Bar, offering a tranquil and healthy haven for staff and faculty at UBC.

Here are some memorable moments from throughout the year:

The re-opening of the Ideas Lunch and Wine Bar, September 2014.

The first Wall Wednesday Afternoon Series with UBC Sociology Professor and Wall Scholar, Amin Ghaziani, was completely full.

This Triptic, by UBC doctoral student, Natalie X, hangs on the wall in the Ideas Lunch and Wine Bar. The piece was done when the Institute hosted a UBC Student Art-Based Competition on the theme of water for the 2012 University-Based Istitutes for Advanced Study Conference.

Wall Scholar enjoys the New York Times.

Award-winning Canadian Author-in-Residence, Camilla Gibb, delivers public talk on her works of fiction and the notion of empathy as part of the Wall Wednesdays Afternoon Series, next to the Ideas Lunch & Wine Bar.
