Aurora Tejeida is the Communications and Events Coordinator for the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies. Prior to joining the Institute in 2018, she was the Communications Coordinator at Megaphone Magazine, a local non-profit that creates meaningful work for people experiencing poverty and homelessness. Aurora’s work experience includes the role of Digital Communications Officer at Canopy, an environmental non-profit committed to protecting the world’s forests.
Aurora is also an award-winning journalist, whose work has been featured in the Tyee, the Toronto Star, the Narwhal, Vice, Megaphone Magazine, CJSF, as well as other local and international outlets. She holds a Master’s degree from UBC’s School of Journalism.
