Turning Points Video Series Nominated for Anthem Award

Update Feb 15, 2022: Congratulations to everyone involved in the Turning Points video series. The project received a Silver Award from the Anthem Awards, in recognition of its social impact, in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Partnership or Collaboration) category.

We’re very proud to announce that the PWIAS-funded video series, Turning Points has been nominated for an Anthem Award. The series was shortlisted in the was shortlisted in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Partnership or Collaboration) category.

Turning Points is a series of short films about alcohol use, addiction, and healing in Yellowknife, directed by the storytellers themselves. The Wall Solutions project headed by Wall Scholar Peter Klein (Global Reporting Centre) provided a platform for people from Indigenous communities across the Canadian Arctic to share their experiences and tap into storytelling traditions that have been used to connect and heal people for centuries.
